How do I get my syllabus to appear in the Directory of Classes (DOC) website?
To do this, you’ll need to take information from your CourseWorks page and input it into a form on the DOC website:
- Log in to CourseWorks and select your course. This brings you to the Introduction page.
- Click “Settings” in the left sidebar.
- Click on the “For World Wide Guests” tab.
- Check the “Syllabus” box to enable this feature.
- Click “Save Changes.”
- Copy the URL that appears at the bottom of the page.
- Go to the DOC website.
- Click “About This Directory.”
- Click the “Materials for Instructors” link in the text.
- Click the “access the forms” link in the text.
- Log in with your Columbia UNI and password.
- Scroll to and click “Section Information Change Form.”
- Fill out the form, pasting the CourseWorks URL in the “Syllabus” section.
- Click “Submit.” Your syllabus will now appear in your course page in the DOC. It may take a few hours for your syllabus to appear.
